About
Dr Carol Schultz — Practitioner, Researcher, Regional Specialist
I am Dr Carol Schultz. My professional practice is grounded in over two decades of experience supporting individuals across the full continuum of disability in regional schools and community settings. My career has been dedicated to bridging the gap between high-level research and the practical realities of regional disability support.
I hold a Doctor of Professional Studies, a Master of Teaching (Special Education & Guidance Counselling), and a Bachelor of Teaching (Special Education).
My work is defined by the integration of seven years of doctoral research with deep, hands-on clinical experience. Everything I deliver — from individual participant Roadmaps to workforce training — is focused on a single outcome: achieving usable, measurable, and visible improvements for people and families in regional communities. I don't just provide "support"; I design evidence-based pathways for human flourishing.

The Human Flourishing Model
A research outcome, not a slogan
Over seven years of doctoral research I developed and evaluated the Human Flourishing Model. This is the core, evidence-informed framework I use in every Roadmap, coaching conversation and workshop.
It is a practical method that guides how we:
- Identify meaningful learning goals with the person and their family
- Design small, achievable steps that produce real skill development
- Embed those steps into everyday routines so outcomes are sustained and visible at review time
What this means for you
You will receive a tightly focused Roadmap or training brief — not a long checklist. Roadmaps include clear actions, short milestones, suggested NDIS wording, and simple measures so progress is obvious to families, support teams and plan reviewers.
Training turns the Roadmap into shift-ready checklists and coaching moments workers can use immediately.
Regional Practice
Why regional practice matters
Regional practice demands solutions that are affordable, low-travel and realistic with local services. My Roadmaps and workshops are designed for real life in regional Australia — strategies that work where travel time, workforce size and local partnerships shape what's possible.
